We are planning to set up a jiscmail forum for CLIL which will be linked to this website. In the meantime, please post any questions or comments on this page. It would be great to hear about what you are doing in your school.
(NB. You need to have signed up to the wiki to contribute!)

Hello from Philip Hood and Kristina Tobutt
The two of us have just joined the group, and we are both very involved in CLIL at a primary level. We see this as a really vital step to ensure that as primary languages becomes compulsory in two years time, the full range of language learning experiences is available to the children. This includes a CLIL experience which can be made accessible both to teachers who lack confidence and to children who readily accept the language being integrated into their learning topics.
We also believe in a very early start - preferably from EYFS at 4 years old. At that stage children seem to operate happily in whatever language you use - Kristina has some wonderful experiences of how that works in practice.
While we know this group is focusing heavily on secondary CLIL (we both have experience of that too), we know that Neil has some primary experience too and we hope that we can extend the dialogue (and perhaps in time the membership) to primary issues.

A very warm welcome to you both! We have another contribution with a primary focus from Alison Clarke (on the Drama page), and I think it's really important to bring primary and secondary approaches together.

Hello everyone again and in particular PRIMARY CLIL practitioners!
I've been given the task of coming up with some practical teaching activities using the London 2012 Games as a context. They don't have to be CLIL ideas necessarily but some clearly could be. The ideas need to reflect the OLYMPIC values which include friendship, equality and respect. If anyone is feeling creative or has some suggestions please get in touch - add your comments to this discussion group if you like to begin with.
Cynthia
